Dear Sharathji, may you rest in peace.
This heartbreaking news has left my heart aching. His passing feels so sudden, and I’m still processing it, thinking of his loved ones—family, friends, and students. He shared such profound lessons and taught them with gentleness and patience, which made a lasting impact. I remember my first visit to Mysore, practicing with him in Gokulam.
Querido Sharath
A mi maestro:
Querido Sharath.
Si mi maestro hubiera vivido unos años más, habría tenido la oportunidad de visitarlo en su escuela en Mysore con mis hijos, quizá varias veces más, y de retomar esa rutina de viajar cada año, ahora con ellos ya mayores o adolescentes.
Gurustotrani
Sharathji Audio File - Gurustotrani
At every conference, Sharath begins with a short chant—part of a stotra that pays homage to the Guru. It is beautiful.
Practicing through Motherhood
How my yoga practice shifted as I became a mother.
During pregnancy, I was fortunate and privileged to have incredible teachers who embraced femininity and motherhood within the practice. They gave me permission to be more gentle, sometimes even urging me to slow down and skip anything that didn’t support or embrace the changes that come with being pregnant.
Ashtanga Yoga: Embracing Our Cycles
Ashtanga yoga can support healthy cycles…By tuning into these rhythms, we learn when to rest or push forward. While women follow a monthly cycle and men a daily one, yoga unites these patterns, building a supportive community that values both rest and productivity for sustainable growth.

Purpose of doing asana
These are my notes from Sharath's conference in Gokulam, Mysore. January 2015. I aimed to capture the essence of his teachings and the simplicity with which he explains concepts that can often feel complex and abstract.
